This cozy hoodie will keep you warm, turned down as a cowl during crisp fall mornings or pulled up, during the deepest cold of winter. The pattern was inspired by a chance meeting on a foggy and chilly morning during a walk along the beach of Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. I was photographing brown bears and met a beautiful and charming woman who was wearing a hat that her grandmother had knit for her many years ago. From a few photographs I made of her that day I designed this hoodie. I loved the look and warmth and couldn’t wait to knit the prototype. A couple weeks later, while staying on a boat in Kinak Bay, in Katmai National Park, the “Kinak Hoodie” came to life. May you knit this and may it warm your head and heart and remind you of wild chilly landscapes of your own.

This is the knitting instructions only.
